Micha Kaufman, CEO of Fiverr posted this on X,
"Before it gets out somewhere else, this is an email I sent yesterday morning to my team. It applies equally to the freelance community."
This past Thursday, he added the following:
"AI isn’t a trend, it’s a tectonic shift that’s rewriting the rules for all of us.
We’re entering a time of extraordinary change: Traditional search (SEO) is fading, GPT-native search is rising.
AI agents will fully automate countless tasks. If a machine can do it, a human shouldn’t.
But AI has limits. People will still rely on people for time arbitrage, a competitive edge, or complex orchestration. That's where human–agent collaboration becomes powerful. Top talent will become the differentiator for pushing boundaries."
Adapt or die is no longer a throw-away cliche but a clarion call to a new reality that many have yet to grasp or care to acknowledge (i.e., AI is another tech fad or can't replace me).
I've always said, "Either upgrade your attitude or downgrade your expectations." I would modify for today's AI shift as,
"Upgrade your AI attitude, or downgrade your (revenue) expectations!"
